1. Hi! I’m back…and this week, sharing these adorable red sandals from J.Crew.
I have been eyeing these shoes for a while. A while! Like most J.Crew items I get stalk enough to post on here, they have not gone on sale, which is annoying, but I guess there is good demand. I love how these look like prettier, more delicate Birkenstocks (which continue to be my shoe of choice for the summer). I’ll probably cave at some point and come give an update. But if you have them, please let me know how you like them!

3. I really enjoyed this feature, via the NYT, on the fashion stylist Danielle Goldberg.
4. Okay speaking of stylists – I really try not to share IG posts as content, because….what?? But I really have been enjoying Karla Welch’s videos on how she chooses dresses for clients – her series on America Ferrera’s gorgeous pink dress and Greta Gerwig’s are both great. Watch!
5. This week, I read Annie Bot, by Sierra Greer.
I really loved this one! It’s about an AI girlfriend and the relationship she has with her “owner.” I’ve read quite a few books with this topic and I have to say this one is my favorite so far – it’s really well done, the writing is great (and eerie), the plot is excellent. I can see why some might find it too creepy and not like it…but yeah, I dug it. If you’re looking for a great literary sci-fi/ish read, I highly recommend Annie Bot.

May 17, 2024 at 1:28 pmHi Kat – Thanks for posting on the sandals. I rarely look at J Crew but I thought these are so cute and ordered them in black. They are true to size and comfortable. Unfortunately, my right foot continuously squeaked with each step–no issues at all on the left side so maybe it was me and not the construction of the shoe. So hard to find decent, comfortable shoes that look slightly dressy.
