1. This week, sharing these silver sandals from J.Crew.
I like these a lot and think they look really nice and sleek! Not the most expensive looking (no one would mistake these for say, Prada) but I got a pair of silver fisherman sandals last year from J.Crew and am quite happy with them. So definitely eyeing these! I like that they are padded too, I can’t really do those hard bottom sandals.

5. This week I’m reading Red Comet, by Heather Clark.
As you can see from the cover, this is a biography of Sylvia Plath. I’ve never been particularly fascinated by Plath but recently picked up Ariel and then thought I wanted to read more about this woman. I’m about halfway through and the book is just so well done – tightly and elegantly written and brings Plath to life far beyond a caricature. If you enjoy biographies and/or poetry, I highly recommend Red Comet.

April 16, 2023 at 6:58 amThanks for the book recommendation, will certainly check it out. It’s been a while since I’ve read any Plath.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed Marrying the Ketchups. As a Chicagoan and former restaurant person, I related to much of the story line, not to mention all the family dramas.
