1. This week, sharing a pretty pair of flats, from & Other Stories.

I like these a lot! They have strong Miu Miu vibes. I’ve been trying not to shop Stories/Zara etc so much however I do have a pair of Stories shoes that I got last year which have been great, and I actually find them quite high quality compared to the clothing. So! I always check the brand when shoe shopping and think these are a nice professional option with a twist.

2. I liked this feature, via the NYT, on Catherine Holstein of Khaite. It’s always interesting to see how designers themselves actually dress. I’ve tried a few Khaite items (but only on sale). What do you think?

5. This week, I read I Have Some Questions For You, by Rebecca Makkai.

I liked this one! It’s by Rebecca Makkai who was a finalist for the Pulitzer, though I wouldn’t necessarily be worried that it is too “literary” – I found it very accessible. It’s a first person slow burn…I wouldn’t say thriller, more like a mystery. If you’re looking for a thoughtful mystery with a lot to say about #MeToo, violence against women in the media, with some boarding school atmosphere – I recommend I Have Some Questions For You.
