Sale PSA: A simple but chic adidas crewneck sweatshirt, now under $40, a chunky cotton cardigan from Everlane, now $56, and a very pretty cashmere knit sweater from Naadam, now 50% off.
1. This week, sharing a wishlist item, this great furry cardigan from Acne.
I’ve wanted this since last year, when I was eyeing it in navy. I kind of still want a color instead of the gray (and I’m also waiting for sale). But I love it SO much! I just it seems so pretty and cozy. Am a little worried about the itch factor (if anyone knows how this is let me know).
2. I liked this piece, via the NYTimes, about the continuing enthusiasm for Phoebe Philo era Celine. I think what makes her so intriguing is unfortunately probably why she isn’t in a hurry to launch her line – she’s just enjoying her personal life (I hope).
3. Sharing this piece, again via the NYTimes, about the perfect transitional jacket. I’m a blazer person (or a denim jacket), how about you all?
4. I found this piece, via Elle UK, about how a shopping addiction nearly bankrupted a family. I think we gawk at these pieces but I’ve shopped irresponsibly and continue to do at times. It’s a constant quest for balance.
5. This week, I read The Song of Achilles, by Madeline Miller.
Yes I am really late in reading this! Many of you have recommended it but you said it broke your hearts and I was too scared. I finally gave in and of course it did! But there’s also a happy (kind of) ending! I loved loved this, and you were all right, I should have read it earlier. If you want a great book I highly recommend The Song of Achilles.
