Weekend Update

1. This week, sharing my latest sale purchase, this very cute top from Ulla Johnson:

I have long wanted this top but never got it. I didn’t realize they brought it back this season – and just learned of it when I saw it on sale! Woohoo! I tried out a size larger just because lately I don’t like it when things touch my waist at all…hopefully it isn’t too frilly which sometimes can happen with Ulla. I’ll update how it is!

2. A kind of an esoteric article recommendation I know, but I really enjoyed this review, via Vulture, of the new Ottessa Moshfegh book.

3. Sharing this piece, via the NYT, about how Artbag is closing and moving to Florida.

4. OK another publishing article to share this week! But I think this is an interesting piece (and somewhat controversial), about the book which tore publishing apart.

5. This week I am recommending Counterfeit, by Kirstin Chen.

I read this a few months earlier (I just realized my quote from EW is on the Amazon page!) and loved it. The book is about counterfeit luxury handbags – need I say more? But it’s also really good! It’s that rare combination of a literary and beach read that will keep you flipping pages….I think I finished it in a day or two. If you’re looking for a fun summer read that is also smart and thoughtful, I highly recommend Counterfeit.
