Sale PSA: Beautiful lace up flats from Gianvito Rossi, now 60% off, classic Ray Bans, now 20% off (I fele like we used to see Ray Ban sales all the time and not so much now – more on sale here), and pink ruched heels from Phillip Lim, now $370.
1. I was so inspired by the swimsuit article below that I wanted to share a suit I’ve been eyeing for ages, from Versace (!)
I don’t know what’s going on but I’ve been looking at Versace lately, maybe because I have been wanting a nice print. Although this isn’t a print – but for swim I like something solid and classic. This is so chic and cut so nicely and I will probably end up getting it – I would like to know if there are those removable soft cups however (as I prefer swimwear with it).
2. I read this very interesting article, via Business Insider, about the chaos going on right now within Eleven Madison Park. If you don’t have a subscription, this Daily Mail article grabs the highlights.

3. An interesting piece, via the NYT, about what makes swimsuits so expensive.
4. Loved this article, via the WSJ, about Michelle Lovelace, the “Birkin Hunter.”
5. This week I read Tracy Flick Can’t Win, by Tom Perrotta.

Perrotta is one of my favorite authors and so I was excited to read this. And it was great! The book is a sequel to Election, which the movie starring Reese Witherspoon was based off of – and I’d say if you have even a passing recollection of either the movie or the book, that’s enough background to read and enjoy this. If you liked Election, I highly recommend Tracy Flick Can’t Win.
