1. This week, sharing a pretty poplin dress from Faithfull.
I like this dress very much – the material, the cut, the midi length. I do think it’s the sort of piece that has to fit you exactly right (so I am half expecting I’ll have to return it) – based on bust, waist, etc. But it’s so pretty and summery! Also, if you are an XL, it is even cheaper at Bloomingdales!
2. A well researched Rolling Stone piece about the recent allegations about Cary Fukunaga, the director of No Time To Die (and others). I think this is important to know! I feel this has received little coverage (because there’s so much else going on likely, but still).
3. An interesting article, via the NYT, about how Dior has stood by Johnny Depp.
4. I thought this piece, via Elle, from Morgan Parker about being single, was very well done and thoughtful.
5. This week I read The Palace Papers, by Tina Brown.
I love Tina Brown! I’ll read anything by her. I really enjoyed her biography on Diana so knew I was going to get this as well. This book was dishy yes, gossipy yes, but also well written (and I thought) fair. If you are at all interested in the UK royals (I’m not really, and still I was entranced) I highly recommend The Palace Papers.

June 10, 2022 at 3:59 pmI very much agree with you about The Palace Papers – Tina Brown is an excellent writer, such wonderful turns of phrase. I’m very much a fan of the British Royal Family, ever since I was a little girl in fact, and I’m almost 62 now! We used to get the Sunday Post every week (in Scotland) and there was a page about The Royal Week – I started reading that when I was about 5 or 6. I’m in Canada now and I even got up at 5 am on Thursday and Friday last week to watch everything live! I only wish I could have been there!

June 11, 2022 at 9:50 amI also just finished “The Palace Papers”. I particularly liked the passage on Meghan Markle, especially when someone asked George Clooney when he attended the wedding how he and Amal got to know her, and he responded they didn’t.
