1. This week, sharing a fun knotted tote this week, that I am waiting to try from J.Crew.
By waiting I mean…waiting for a code! This has so far been excluded from everything, and I think it’d be a great item to add some color to summer outfits. I’m thinking either this pink or the blue.
2. I liked this piece, via Elle, on the go-to summer outfits of various women. I discovered some new style inspirations through this piece!
3. An interesting piece, via the NYT, about how dining dress codes are back. I will say that I recently made a reservation in the ultra casual Bay Area, and I saw that there was a dress code! Wow.
4. I know these have been popular in the past – another interesting money diary via Refinery 29 (lots of comments about the spouses splitting costs!)
5. This week I read Under Construction, by Chrishell Stause.
Do I miss having new Selling Sunset episodes to watch? Do I think Netflix doubling down on its quality content strategy mean just making sure there is a new season of Selling Sunset released each month? Yes, why do you ask? I decided I needed to know more about Chrishell after this season and thus decided to read her biography. It was good! Quite good in parts actually, and I wish there was more of the good bits – about her childhood and growing up and what it was like to start off in soap operas. The later parts of her life get a little fuzzy – almost no details on her past marriage, and the book also seems almost too tied into the TV show – we get lots of digs at Christine and hints at her and Jason’s *love story*. It’s a fast read though, and better than I expected. If you’re a Selling Sunset fan and looking for something easy to go through at night – I recommend Under Construction.
