First – thank you all so much for your comments on my last post on Chanel. I loved hearing all the perspectives (including from a Chanel sales manager!). I will watch the company with interest.
Second – are you watching the Olympics? I was so thrilled to see both Chloe Kim and Nathan Chen win gold for the US. It was awesome. Yay!
1. This week, it’s warm, so sharing this coverup I’ve been waiting to go on some sort of sale:
The high is going to be 78 today in our area! So I immediately started to think about sundresses (one of my weaknesses), and sandals, and etc. I love this white coverup and wish it were a little thicker so I coudl wear it as a regular dress as well. I don’t like wearing slips in summer.
2. I liked this piece, via the WSJ, about Danielle Steel’s daily routine. She is so cool. I could read endless pieces on Danielle Steel.
3. A short piece, via the NYT, about where to find a good stylish puffer cost (I love that there is a Costco recommendation!! Sold out though).
4. Thank you Rachel for this bonkers article, via Texas Monthly, about a mom who kidnapped the captain of a drill team (oh and her daughter).
5. This week I read Wahala, by Nikki May.
I loved this book, which centers around three (kind of four) Nigerian/mixed Nigerian women in London. It’s one of those in where there’s a mystery, but honestly the pleasure is in the journey, and not figureing out “whodunnit.” If you’re looking for a well written story – a semi-thriller, semi-domestic novel that will make you think about marriage and kids and friendship and love, I highly recommend Wahala.
