Sale PSA (designer shoe edition!): Chic sandals from Manolo Blahnik, now 70% (!!) off, more strappy Manolo sandals, now 40% off, pretty lambskin Choo sandals, now $297, and classic Nike Daybreaks, now $76
1. This week, sharing this cozy fleece shirt jacket, from Madewell.
Yes this is not the most attractive fleece item but I think it’s a step up from a lot of hoodies (I love button downs), and it is fleece! And 40% off! A nice item to pair with joggers when you’re just schlumping around the house but don’t want to feel like a total slob. Why aren’t there more fleece shirts, actually?
2. I enjoyed this hilarious and quite cringe worthy restaurant review, of a Michelin starred eatery in Lucce.
3. I loved this video of Iman talking about her home, her favorite objects, her life with David Bowie. What a woman.
4. Sharing this piece, via the NYT, about the return of corsets. What do you think? I get what they say about pants with higher rises and looser waists, but I don’t know if I am ready for a CORSET. Maybe I’ve just been snacking too much in the pandemic…not to mention the arrival of Omicron…
5. This week I read The Anomaly, by Herve le Tellier.
I liked this a lot! I would describe it as a more literary Blake Crouch sort of a read – so half thriller, half philosophical text, and another half science fiction (yes I know that doesn’t add up). If you’ve been looking for a new, thought provoking thriller that asks some very big questions about life, I highly recommend The Anomaly.

It makes no sense that after the liberation we women feel for being at home and being comfortable in our clothes in this pandemic that we would want to put on corset. If I feel pressured to wear one to see those people, they are not healthy for me anyway and it’s a sure sign that I should stay away.
