Sale PSA: Fun lined daisy print Crocs (I LIKE these!), now $43, a chic faux leather shirtdress from Tibi, now $285, western style boots from Evelrane, now just $79, and the classic pleated long skirt from Uniqlo, now just $30.
1. There is a lot of good designer stuff on sale right now! Unfortunately, in the last week I have bought mostly full price items (WHY). Anyway, sharing one of my sale picks, this Joseph puffer:
I really like this! I love the wool jacket/hybrid down puffer look and have seen a lot of nice men’s versions but not too many women’s. I would definitely consider this if I lived in a colder climate – one of those classic useful pieces that you’ll have for years. It’s still full price everywhere else, too.
2. My favorite (is that the right word) article this week, is this Wired piece on a completely nuts online attack that targeted a popular Korean rapper. My God! I looked him up after and was very happy to see that it seemed he was doing well.
3. A NYT from a few months back that I just found, about supply chain problems with jewelry. I’ve seen/experienced this! A lot of stuff is out, or has to be ordered to come in, months later.
4. I liked this feature, from Porter, from various fashion luminaries speaking about why they love The Row.
5. This week, I read The Topeka School, by Ben Lerner.
I’m a big Ben Lerner fan! But to be honest, I stayed away from The Topeka School for a few years because I had read some reviews that it referenced Trump and I was just like…I cannot deal with this now. I finally felt like I had enough distance to read it, and I really enjoyed it. It is different than Lerner’s other novels, which are in third person – this was a mix of first and third. If you’re looking for literary fiction read, don’t mind less of a “plot,” and especially if you’re a Lerner fan, I highly recommend The Topeka School.

December 4, 2021 at 6:01 amI knew Tablo had been accused of falsifying his Stanford degree but I had no idea that his cousin had started it. His cousin sounds like a narcissist! There was a similar recent incident involving an actor which was resolved more quickly (https://www.soompi.com/article/1496406wpp/dispatch-shares-more-conversations-exchanged-between-kim-seon-ho-and-his-ex-girlfriend). It kind of spoiled my viewing experience of the drama that the actor starred in though. Still, the lead actress’ wardrobe was amazing.

December 4, 2021 at 7:11 amWHEW…that ‘Wired’ article. They literally set out to ruin that man’s life for absolutely no reason at all. Glad he’s doing well. Karma’s at the gym working out, so she might take a while to get around to dealing with his trolls…but she eventually will.
