1. This week, I am eyeing this brown blazer, from COS.
I go through periods with COS, where I either don’t like anything or like a LOT on the site. Right now it is a LOT. Tops is the great brown blazer! I have always wanted a brown blazer but didn’t want to spend a LOT on one – and it’s a hard color to find, for some reason. This is lovely and a nice price for a wool blazer.
2. An oldie but goodie, via The Atlantic, about those making well into six figures and “just getting by.”
3. I liked this piece, via Harpers Bazaar, about the fall staples chosen by various stylists.
4. An interesting piece, via the NYT, about alimony for men. I will say this has been coming up in conversation with multiple friends lately. In a way I think it’s a positive development – more and more women are the breadwinner (in some cases by far!)
5. This week, I read Oh William! by Elizabeth Strout.
Strout is one of my favorite authors. I think I’ve read everything she has ever written. This is a more sparse book than her other work – I think I got through it in two days. If you’ve read Lucy Barton, you’ll recognize most of the characters – it is Lucy again, reflecting on her first husband, William. If you’ve ever read and liked anything of Strout’s, I highly recommend Oh William!

Did you get this blazer and could you send us a review on it if yes? Also would love to know what else you have been eying there (and across other brands in general!).
