Hello hello! As we arrive near the end of December…sharing some of my favorites for this year.
It has been a weird year. A VERY weird year. When I started to write this post, I realized most of my favorite purchases were made in the last few months…maybe because I can’t remember the earlier ones? Or perhaps because a little linen dress and etc don’t seem so wonderful now in the cold. But I did try to be fair! Regardless most of my favorite items were those that I used a lot and you know what that looks like during our current era, so…not a lot of ballgowns. Mostly practical items! But here they are, some of my favorite buys of 2020, and I’d love to hear yours:
Loewe Puzzle Bag: Yeah I haven’t used it too much. But I have! A few times! And I love it so much. The color and the ease of use and everything. I just wish I had purchased it earlier. It’s a great bag, a great design, very easy to use, and as I said in my original review, the color is perfect.
Everlane Half Zip Merino sweater: Blurry photo alert! But this is how I usually wear the sweater, and yes….no point in any “lifestyle” photos. I was too late buying this the first time around and stalked this almost every day on the site until it finally popped up. I love this sweater and it is one of the, if not THE best one I have ever bought from Everlane. It is so cool and comfortable and really soft. If you come across it, definitely try it. I love love the zip and how low it goes and it’s almost a good thing (for me) that it’s sold out as I’d definitely want to buy more colors.
PS: A close second favorite is this cashmere polo.
Patagonia Sweater Hoody: I wear this every day on my walk. It is so cozy and wonderful. Not terribly beautiful and I match with basically every other person on the street (seriously, men and women). BUT it is warm and light and super practical. I’ve wore it this past weekend and caught on a few branches while we hiked and the nylon was fine. Another item I wish I had bought earlier.
Silk Bel Skirt: Elizabeth Suzann closed earlier this year, which I was so sad over! I even wrote an ode to her, and was so happy to hear that she has (kind of) re-opened. This was one of my very last purchases. I was never really a skirt person but this is so comfortable and pretty – I love the elastic waist and the silk is luxurious yet sturdy feeling still.
Nike React Infinity Run Shoes: I wore these all the time. I am still wearing them. I was always of the group of “sneakers should be black or white or gray” but these are so fun and more important, comfortable! I slip them on without socks and took my true size, 6.5. I don’t know how I’m going to ever go back to heels given that I’ve worn sneakers or slippers 100% of the time basically this entire year.
Alright…that’s it, some of my favorites of 2020! Now what are YOURS?
