Sale PSA: Nike Air Force One “Sage” Platform sneakers, now price matched at $65 (this is a good price!), a gorgeous silk floral dress from Shoshanna, now 50% off (remember Shoshanna Lonstein? She is so beautiful), cropped linen pants from Veronica Beard, now 60% off, and a pretty black linen dress from Rachel Pally, now $110 (I randomly saw this on someone!)
I’ve recently become enamored with cropped t-shirts. I have a long torso (I feel like I’m always telling you this) and I recently, after many years on this earth, realized that they have balance me out. Yes! They almost basically look like regular shirts on me. So now I’m obsessed and because I’ve tried so many out and also because high waist pants in general are “in” now (they are, aren’t they? Or am I so far behind?) I figured some of you might be looking for great cropped options as well. All right – here goes!
Free People V Easy tee, $20 I first found this tee when I was planning on ordering the Ana tee, which is a little more expensive, and then I found this! It’s a really great tee but I will caveat that it is quite cropped and the front is very low, so keep that in mind. It lands right at my belly button so I can only wear it with my very high rise pants. 100% cotton, and I took a size XS as I find Free People usually runs pretty loose.
ASOS waffle crop tee. I took a US 0 in this. I felt it was too tight. My husband thought it was perfect, of course. It does uh, I think accentuate your “assets” (of which I have very little). If I were to order again I’d go a size up but I think this is a return.
ASOS Design raw seam t-shirt, $19. I liked this. Very cool/casual. A few notes – also very cropped, and there’s a little side split on the side, so keep that in mind if you don’t want to show skin (you can kind of see it in the photo). 100% cotton and I took a size 0. I would not take any larger as the neckline already shows my bra when I move (the strap).
ASOS boxy waffle tee, $19. I tried this out as a slightly longer cropped tee, to wear with my semi-high waist pants (like these jeans, which land under the belly button, versus over). I like this! Super soft, also 100% cotton. I took size 0.
ASOS organic cotton crop, $13. I love this! I wouldn’t wear this tee with these jeans because I hate showing skin there as I have had two children. I bought this tee for my other higher rise pants. However the price is great and its organic cotton! Good for you, ASOS. I took a size 2 in this!
Also – I haven’t bought anything from ASOS in forever but I randomly found this t-shirt and then I had to add the others above to get to the $49 minimum shipping. Yup.
Elizabeth Suzann Polly Crop, $135. I have this in two colors. I really like this top! It’s great and the perfect length. The material is divine. But only now typing this out after I’ve just typed out the prices of all the other t-shirts is making me realize how expensive it is! It’s a lot. But I love shopping Elizabeth Suzann for its ethics and will continue to support the brand.
Madewell cropped tee, $30. I forgot to take a photo of this with the tripod so here we go! Sorry! This is a great tee, high quality thick cotton, and the length is slightly longer, a bit past the belly button, but not too long. I think it’s a great length for those who want a bit of a cropped look but want to make sure they don’t expose any skin. I took a size XXS in this so you can see it’s naturally quite boxy.
Okay! I think that’s a good summary of all the cropped tees I’ve tried so far. I really hope this was helpful for some of you! Do you have any favorites?

October 14, 2019 at 7:01 pmHave you tried AG jeans? They are super soft. They may need some hemming. But if you get a cropped length, it may end up long enough. They tend to go 40% off on sale days.
Madewell did sell some cropped shirts back in summer for 40% off. 100% cotton with different colors. Only negative is, they can look boxy if oversized.
I like graphic tees from Anine Bing especially the tiger prints. They look vintage. At the same time, they bring out a cool modern look to lessen the mom vibe. Lol. I have had friend crop these shirts as well. Yep, they used the scissors on $99 tees. But they end up looking fab.
Does it bother you when your Cartier Love bangs against your Cartier watch? It must have a couple of dings on the side for both. For that reason, I stopped stacking them. I actually thought you stacked your Van Cleef perlee bangle with the Love but then the pictures made me realize it was your watch. Do you plan to stack the Love with the Perlee? Can you please report how the Perlee bracelet holds up if you do? I heard the Perlee’s beads do not scraped up from SAs, but I would love to hear from real people wearing them.

October 16, 2019 at 8:50 pmIt doesn’t and it does get dinged but I just gave up. I do occasionally stack the love with the Perlee but haven’t in a while. The Perlee is fine! I have to admit I’m always a little paranoid the hinge will accidentally open though if it gets banged too much (but it’s never happened)

October 15, 2019 at 8:58 pmThank you so much for this post! Like you, I have a long torso. But I’ve been avoiding cropped shirts because I’ve always thought they would accentuate the long torso.

October 20, 2019 at 1:01 amI’d also recommend Urban Outfitters’ “Best Friend Tee.” It’s nice quality cotton and the white one is pretty opaque.
