Hello! This week I’m sharing some recent purchases, all practical, all great for summer and beyond. Starting with this matching Polly Top and Florence shorts, both from Elizabeth Suzann.
I love the Polly top – I have two so far in the linen gauze, and I realize that I’m wearing it in both of my outfits below. I really love it! So when I saw they were making this style in the midweight linen I ordered one to try, and also picked up the matching shorts. Because why not match? It’s easier than a dress and also allows you the freedom to mix and match. I really liked the look of the set but will say that in the end I decided to send this top back – it fit a *tiny* bit differently than in the gauze (the armholes were a little higher up) so I thought I’d just stick with the gauze.
The shorts – super sleek, chic, comfortable. The only complaint is I wish they had pockets, which is a common one. I took an XXS in the top and an XS in the shorts.
The next purchase: this Baggu Fanny pack – yes! A fanny pack! Though I only wear it crossbody. And I LOVE this, it is such a comfortable “mommy/playground” bag. And fits a water bottle to boot. It has two outside zip pockets, as well as an interior zip pocket, which is so helpful. I can fit lots of snacks, my wallet, my phone, a small cosmetics pouch, keys, and lots more inside. I bought this on the official Baggu site and used the code AFTERPAYNOW to get 15% off. It’s a little cheaper on Backcountry but I’m not the ahh…most athletic person and so couldn’t get to $50 free shipping and plus the Baggu site has free shipping and returns.
The only thing is I wish the clip was on the other side – if you wear your back over your right shoulder (which I think a lot of lefties do) you’ll get that cleaner look. I snapped a quick shot for you so you can see how it looks in that case.
Also! Just another note, that I extended this bag to the longest the strap would go, and that’s where it hits on me in photos. I’m 5’1 with a long torso. Just something to consider given your height, and if you want to wear the bag crossbody.
In the photos I’m also wearing the Elizabeth Suzann Polly in linen gauze, and these wonderful H&M shorts that I have wanted to recommend but they keep selling out. They are under $20 and if you do catch them I got an XS.
And finally: the Everlane Chore jacket. Last but not least! I’ve been eyeing these chore jackets for a while but they sold out pretty quickly. I really love this denim one actually. I was kind of surprised because I thought it’d be more of a practical purchase, not one of those “love” ones but I really do love! The pockets are GREAT (fits an iPhone +), there are three exterior ones and one interior one and the denim is super soft. I also like the length which is a little longer than my other jean jacket, which I think gives a nice contrast to crop tops. I also feel like this is a total “mom” outfit haha but I’m a mom sooo.
I took a size XXS but I think could have also done an XS if I wanted to wear sweaters underneath. With the XXS, it lays more close to the body and I think looks like a cross between a shirt/jacket. Highly recommend this one!
