1. This week, sharing this great J.Crew dress:
Honestly I probably would not have noticed this dress, if I didn’t see it on Net-A-Porter. On the NAP site and with its styling its totally the sort of piece I’d expect from like, Loewe/Rosetta Getty, with a high price tag to match. It’s nice, right? Perfectly floaty for the beach but with enough structure for dinner.
2. I liked this article on how Elizabeth Gilbert gets things done, in The Cut. I like this series of articles in general!
3. Would like to hear your thoughts on this piece, via The NY Times, about the resurrection of Dolce & Gabbana. What do you think? Honestly in the past I used to search for D&G (on sale, ha) but haven’t since the whole controversy. The patterns are still beautiful but the brand has lost its allure for me. I wouldn’t be upset seeing it on others though, and still admire the patterns.
4. A great and thought provoking piece, via The Atlantic, about how your professional decline may be coming sooner than you think. It’s long and has hope at the end, don’t worry. I just subscribed to The Atlantic, because I’ve loved so many articles from them lately.
5. This week I read A Head Full of Ghosts, by Paul Tremblay.
I would describe this book as slightly horror/thriller – a similar tone to American Horror Story (the TV show). Which normally isn’t my deal, but I heard great things about this one and decided to pick it up. Wow! I really enjoyed this one. If you like horror (it’s not even that much), or the work of Stephen King, I highly recommend A Head Full of Ghosts.

June 21, 2019 at 4:17 pmKat! I am 21 years into my career and according to this article in The Atlantic, I am on my decline, at least in my specific professional role! I believe it, as I have spent the past couple years wondering what my next phase could possibly be. I really have no idea. It look me a year post-college to find a career, and that was when a number of professions could have been possible and I could devote all of my focus on my career goals. I am hoping things fall into place in a few years when my youngest child goes to elementary school, but am totally at a loss as to planning for a future professional transition!

June 23, 2019 at 3:42 pmIt will be OK! Don’t worry too much. Have you thought of a session with a life coach? I know it can sound cheesy but it might really help!
