1. Is it cold where you are still? It’s still pretty darn cold where I am (relatively). So I wanted to share with you one of my favorite new sweaters, this cashmere Everlane rib v-neck.
I just got this recently and it’s pretty much the sweater of my dreams. I had been looking for a slightly cropped, slightly bell sleeved v-neck for some time but hesitated to get this because I already love my waffle crewneck and for some reason wanted to try a different brand. But finally I gave in and I love this sweater. If you like the waffle you should try this rib, it’s really really good and perfectly loose. I’ll try to do an outfit shot for a post later.
2. Sharing this piece, via the NY Times, about what it is like in Hollywood for black talent agents.
3. I was recently wondering about Carolyn Bessette Kennedy (yes I was searching for outfit photos) and came across this article, Secrets and Lies, via Vanity Fair. This is my favorite sort of VF article – dishes all the dirt.
4. A tearjerker of a piece from The Atlantic – My Wife Was Dying And We Didn’t Tell Our Children.
5. This week, I read The Lost Man, by Jane Harper.
I’ve actually recommended both of Harper’s other books on the blog – The Dry and Force of Nature, and I have to say that The Lost Man is my favorite one yet. It’s a thriller/mystery, like her other novels, but set in the Australian outback, which I love – I have a thing for outback stories for some reason, I love reading about the desert and the isolation and how people out there live. And the mystery is really good. Loved this one and highly recommend for anyone looking for a good mystery.

And, in case you haven’t read this, a new VF story gives an update on Elizabeth Holmes: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/02/inside-elizabeth-holmess-final-months-at-theranos

February 24, 2019 at 10:34 amOh! I just started The Lost Man. So funny! I too loved her other books. It may in fact have been you who turned me on to The Dry 🙂
Can’t wait to read the CBK story, I am mixed on her (well, not mixed at all except that she DID have great style!).
