I really should have bought these boots last year – a few friends of mine did and I always admired them..but didn’t want to get caught up in the “hype.”
Well, unfortunately, a year later – I am still into the “hype” and plus the price went up about $60! And I missed my chance to pick them up way cheaper, in Paris – I even paid a visit to the Isabel Marant store. AUGH. Just goes to show that when you really love a trend…just embrace it.
I was torn between a light honey color (to wear with bare legs) or black (to wear with tights and black pants). I ended up going with black…
So far, they are really really comfortable and easy to walk in! I will post a review soon and some more photos – do any of you have these boots, or similar style ones? Do you find them versatile?

August 30, 2011 at 12:44 pmSame here….admired but would not have felt strongly to buy last year. Now I can't find them so looking for a decent knockoff, still no luck! The funny thing is I think I had a pair similar back in high school (which was a long time ago…sigh).

September 1, 2011 at 1:00 amavid reader, first time poster…i have the dicker boots in black and beige and can't get enough of them! great purchase–i'll bet they'll get quite a lot of use (i wear mine with pretty much everything!)
p.s. for anyone searching for dickers–bergdorf goodman in nyc got a shipment of black, olive and beige about a week ago–not sure what stock is by now (i snatched my black pair then and they had full size range) but might be worth a phone call!

September 1, 2011 at 1:03 amchoc., cookies & candies–you might have luck trolling ebay for last yrs dickers and/or other isabel marant shoes–i find sizing a year ago to run much smaller then this yr! a 2010 size 35 or possibly even 36 might feel a size smaller! good luck!

September 24, 2011 at 12:04 pmThanks for dropping by my blog…let me know what you think of "The Professional" when you get around to reading it!
The black boots look awesome! I would have gone for the black ones too, they won't look as dirty as quickly as the light honey ones. At least by waiting, you are super sure that you wanted the shoes and they will be more appreciated. 🙂
