Each season I like to share my upcoming “purchase” list – it helps me focus on the items I’d really like to get, and I always like to hear what you’re seeking as well!
1. Light cotton scarf. I’m only wearing dresses these days, and the occasional yoga pant. My skinny jeans have given up, even with some heroic efforts put in by my Belly Band.
Unfortunately, though we’ve been blessed by incredible weather lately in the Bay Area, it still gets a little chilly at times. But I can’t give up my dresses. Nothing else fits! So I’ve found that a light silk or cotton scarf provides the perfect extra layer at those times. This one from Madewell is a nice color scheme at a friendly price.
2. Low wedge espadrilles. I have a pair of wedge espadrilles that I bought years and years ago from Banana Republic. Ever since then, I’ve been looking for a perfect replacement pair, and these simple yet perfect espadrilles might be it. Corso Como is one of my favorite brands for less expensive shoes that still look nice and are super comfortable. These are low, have ankle support, and a padded footbed. I love the snakeskin version too. Yes yes yes!
3. Fun printed maxi dress. This dress is not for preggos I know, but please allow me to have this one. I know that I should be only looking for loose, floaty versions (and come to think of it, this LOVEAPPELLA one is quite nice), but I can get a few more form fitting items …. if just for later in the year… right? I love the batik print on this one, and the price is great.
4. Colorful wallet. Last, but not least. All my wallets are in boring colors, except for one Hermes turquoise Bearn which I’ve had for more than a decade now, and is taking a long deserved rest. I’ve been wanting a new compact colored wallet, and there are a lot of candidates out there, but what I keep coming back to are the Hermes “Silk In” styles. I just love the colorful surprise on the inside. Beautiful!

April 9, 2015 at 10:41 amA tube skirt! Do you have any specific recommendations? I have a few candidates for diaper bag, I’ll try to do a post once I can actually give an opinion on what my favorites are 🙂 The St Louis is a gorgeous one though!!

April 8, 2015 at 10:03 amThanks for the tip on the Corso Como sandal. Just bought a pair on Amazon.com since Nordstrom was low in inventory and sizes. Ever since your first post on this brand….I’ve been a big fan…love their flats!
Also a big fan of the Hermes “Silk In”. Super light weight, fairly affordable (for Hermes :)), and the silk makes it so easy to get the credit cards in and out. Since I loved my smaller version so much, I just got the larger version last week.
Hope pregnancy is going well! As the mother of two little girls and a pediatrician, enjoy every minute of it since they grow so fast! 🙂
