I’ve received a few questions about the bracelets that I usually wear in photos, so I thought I would share my the ones I wear most often today. I love bangles and bracelets and more or less wear one of everyday. I usually only wear one on my right or left hand. I love the look of stacked bangles and bracelets but they clank against my keyboard too much when I’m at work.
I have three favorite everyday bangles – one in yellow gold, one in silver, and one in rose. Each one means something special to me and two were actually gifts. My mother originally bought the yellow one for herself to match with a dress. She didn’t end up liking it too much so I swooped in. Score! A few days later my best friend gave me the silver version with the quote “Love makes the world go round”, she adores quotes about love so it is very her.
The rose gold cuff I bought for myself maybe five years ago. I loved the detail of the little pink sapphire and it was back in the days that Cartier was mailing out coupons – anybody else remember those times?
I wear the rose version probably the most, it fits the most closely since it’s a cuff which slides on.
If you’re in the market for a bangle, my advice would be to identify some styles you like, and then find a cheaper version and try it out for a while. If you find that you’re reaching for one daily and that its presence doesn’t bother you, I’d definitely splurge on one that you love. Here are some of my favorite bangles in higher and lower price points.
Higher (from left to right): one, two, three
Lower (from left to right): one, two, three
As a girl that’s always looking for another good bangle – I’d love to hear the ones that have proven tried and true for you. What are some of your favorite bangles and bracelets?

February 25, 2013 at 7:47 amA do love a good bangle. Thanks for sharing yours – they are lovely! I have a gold “Hawaiian heirloom” style bracelet that my family gave me for a graduation. I don’t wear it to work much anymore, but I put it on every weekend.

February 25, 2013 at 8:30 amI love bangles. My favorites are by Hermes (the enamel ones), Scott Kay Cuffs and Lois Hill Cuffs. I found that their silver jewelry is great. It is very durable unlike some of the DY stuff. I also have some 22Kt. Baht Gold Bangles from Asia and some 18Kt cuffs. I love bangles. They never go out of style. Katherine, I think you should check out Lois Hill’s jewelry.

February 25, 2013 at 10:19 amLove that Cartier bracelet. I love bangles, and you can get some beautiful glass ones in India that I wear with saris. I also love a few pieces I have inherited from my mother – green sapphires, ruby, lapis and silver. At the moment, my favourite pieces are simple twine and gold charm bracelets by a Delhi-based label called Ganesha Mania. Very easy to wear and so discreet.

February 25, 2013 at 10:41 amI have really tried with bangles but them sliding around on my wrist drives me crazy, so I stick with bracelets that don’t move. My current absolute favorite is the Hermes Behapi single tour. It is a multitasking bracelet too–one side is bleu electrique and the other is etain! I wear the etain more often, even though I fell in love with the blue. It’s such a great bracelet and it stays put! I also have the Hermes 3mm Hapi in black with phw, which is perfect for me. I tried the CDC but it’s just too big for my taste. The 3mm Hapi gives me that cuff look at a fraction of the cost of a CDC!

February 25, 2013 at 12:57 pmOh I love this bracelet! I’d love to get one one day, it seems light as a feather too. Do you find it so? I love my CDC but it can get in the way during a busy day especially if I’m typing or using my hands a lot.

February 25, 2013 at 11:48 amWhile I don’t remember the days of Cartier coupons (oh how I wish I did), the Love Cuff is one of my favorite pieces. So classic!

February 25, 2013 at 12:00 pmI’ve tried to wear bangles but all the banging drove me crazy. I wore my tennis bracelet non stop for 6 years but removed it when I went back to martial arts. I’ve always thought I’d go for a Cartier love bangle but we’ll see. I love it on others but I tend to like my wrist bare.

February 25, 2013 at 12:16 pmI love all your bracelets! My favorite are the cartier love bracelets – I wish I had purchased one 5 years ago like you did.

February 25, 2013 at 12:57 pmI have baby wrists which is why I like bangles that are not only smaller in size, but have an oval shape so it sits well. I can’t deal with clanking when I type so my everyday bangles are a Hermes clic bangle on the left and a Cartier Love bangle on the right.
Older than these is a gold cuff that sits snugly around my right wrist bone, bought from a jewelry stall in Paddington Markets in Sydney – it hasn’t come off for over 7 years! (If you look at some of my outfit pictures on the blog, you might see it!)

February 25, 2013 at 7:44 pmI’ve been looking for simple gold bangles for a couple of years now, but none seem to fit my wrists! They’re usually 1-2 sizes too big and I hate wearing the “one size” ones.. sigh.

February 25, 2013 at 11:51 pmThe Fossil bracelet seems very sleek and sexy, perhaps to tide me over until I one day save up for the Cartier Love:). Out of curiosity, what were the coupons for Cartier like?
Also, I have the enamel Hermes H bracelet and it gets tiny scratches. Is this normal? When you wear a few metal bracelets, are they dented/scuffed by the others? Thanks:)!
Katherine
February 26, 2013 at 9:30 am1K off of 5K, etc….yes the good ol’ times! I think if you stack bracelets they are bound to get scuffed – I don’t mind, it’s part of making it yours 🙂

February 26, 2013 at 11:28 pmOh, wow those sound like AMAZING deals! Perhaps they will one day mail out coupons again. One can only hope!

February 26, 2013 at 12:14 amCartier used to mail out coupons? SAY WHAT?
I love your bangles, all of them look like they could go with almost any outfit. I only have one bangle that I wear regularly, which is the gold Birdcage Bangle from Jewelmint. It’s great with outfits that are otherwise too plain, plus it was a bargain (even without the promocode I used). Always get a ton of compliments when I wear that one.

February 26, 2013 at 9:30 amYup – 1000 off of 5000 is one I remember off the top of my head!

February 26, 2013 at 5:23 amI love bracelets – I usually wear 2 on my right wrist. I switch up – I have a LOT – I even forget some of them!
I’ve got a number of Yurman bracelets…John Hardy…various leather bracelets and corded and beaded bracelets. My favorite, which I’ve worn daily since I got it about 2 years ago is a silver Bottega Veneta cuff. I absolutely love it, and it’s very easy to wear, as it is a cuff style.

February 26, 2013 at 9:30 amA BV Cuff sounds lovely!! Is it the weaved style?

February 26, 2013 at 3:56 pmYes, Katherine. I did receive that $1000.0 coupon in the mail. At the time I just bought a tank watch and did not want to spend any extra money. So basically, that coupon went into the trash. I regret it until this day.

March 1, 2013 at 8:16 amI have disproportionately small wrists (I’m not a tiny person or anything), so bangles invariably look absurdly huge on me. It’s such a bummer, because there are so many cute ones out there!

October 28, 2013 at 2:57 amI almost fell off of bed…You are the first person to make note of the coupons! I wish I had took advantage of the last one. The economy made a shift and Cartier coupons vanished. It was as if they never even happen.
My go to bangles are the yellow gold Cartier love bracelet, yellow gold Tiffany & Co 1837 cuff (no longer make)

October 28, 2013 at 9:10 amI know!! It seems like it was so long ago. I was talking to a Cartier SA this weekend and mentioned the coupons and they didn’t believe me, they kept insisting it must have been an AD and not the boutique.
