Today’s interview is another two parter, simply because there were too many favorite outfit photos that I wanted to include and share. Frances of pink horrorshow is one of my favorite recent blog discoveries and I could look at her outfit photos all day. She has a jealousy inducing wardrobe, fabulous New York apartment, and amazing style. Oh and she’s beautiful. And 24! Why must the youth get everything?? All right now – enjoy meeting Frances!
First things first – who are you? What do you do, and where do you live?
I’m Frances, 24, and I live in New York City!
I really love, love your style! Were you always so stylish? Did you ever go through an awkward period?
It wasn’t until I turned about 12 or 13 that I started to really care about what I wore, but I was a very small kid so it was difficult for me to fit into a lot of what I wanted to wear. So I was sort of stuck with wearing “younger” brands until I finally grew out of them, that was definitely awkward. In high school I experimented with clothes a lot and even to this day I can’t believe I had the balls to wear some of the stuff I did but I did win “best dressed” for my graduating year!
What are some the favorite, treasured items in your closet?
My Cartier Tank Francaise mens watch, Cartier Love bracelet, all of my Chanel bags.
How about the most worn pieces?
My utility jackets definitely get the most usage, they’re just so versatile! My Proenza Schouler PS1 bags, and I’m all about wearing either my DKNY or Miu Miu moto boots for everyday.
What’s a typical day look for you, and a night look?
Typically during the day I prefer not to wear heels if I’m going to be doing a lot of walking so I’ll wear flats or boots, jeans, a top and a blazer or jacket. I think my day look has become sort of like a uniform; I like to be comfortable yet still put together and I gravitate towards wearing the same silhouette because it’s just easier. For night, it really depends on where I’m going but I love wearing dresses with sky high heels and it’s when I can really exercise my “fashion muscle”.
Isn’t Frances’ style beautiful? I love that she has a classic sensibility but also mixes in a lot of unique and for the lack of a better word, “edgier” pieces. I hope you enjoyed Part 1 and come back tomorrow for Part 2! Also, find more of Frances here.
