This weekend Mr. Feather and I took a short little interlude to lovely Southern California – I had to go for a few work related items on Friday so we decided to make a weekend out of it. Unfortunately things were so jam packed that I didn’t get to take a ton of photos – but a few snapshots of our weekend:
We stayed at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills – and this property just underwent an absolutely beautiful $20M renovation. Everything is gorgeous and the service is fantastic. They have a little fleet of Rolls Royce Phantoms which you can see in the photo which take you anywhere in Beverly Hills (and a little bit extra), gratis.
Some welcome fruit in our room. Like any good Asian I love fruit and go crazy over fruit plates. I nearly passed out with joy when I realized this was replenished daily!
Beautiful floral arrangement – just thought these orchids were so perfect. I snapped this photo on the way down to meet Wendy of Wendy’s Lookbook – who is so gorgeous and so fun in person. She’s also a terrible shopping influence and I made two online purchases within an hour of us meeting.
The rooftop pool is amazing and I spent many a happy hour here!
Also brought some reading material – I saw an E! True Hollywood Story on Jenna Jameson and decided I wanted to learn more about her so bought the book. It’s actually really good (though a little graphic). My bschool never did a case on the adult industry even though I think it’s important to understand because it is so big! I felt a little nervous reading the book in public and when an old grandma and grandpa were next to us by the pool chairs I switched to The Economist, haha. Well ok, I just put the book inside the magazine and pretended to be reading about crop patterns in Denmark.
My little Rag & Bone dress on the bed – wore it that night to dinner at Osteria Mozza and some drinks. It was a great two days and I forget how awesome Southern California can be- all you Los Angelans are so lucky.
