This is a little late, but since fall collections are already rolling into stores I wanted to share with you one of my favorite new (to me) purchases for this coming fall/winter. I really really love Chanel RTW and always drool each season when the new collections come out. My budget is much more on the J.Crew/Club Monaco side than Chanel but I still would like to own a few special pieces in my closet and hope to accumulate a little collection over time.
I first saw this amazing navy trench in Chanel’s Boston boutique in 2008 – I was there visiting grad schools and decided that I should do some window shopping as well. As soon as I saw this trench, I was in love – I walked over and said to the sales associate, “Can I just stand here and stare until some real customers with money come in??” She laughed and said of course. I didn’t end up buying and it has haunted me ever since…
A few years later though, I had the opportunity to buy this amazing trench from my friend Larkie – oh, to have her problems of too much Chanel RTW! It arrived in beautiful pristine condition –
The beautiful buttons with airplanes on them…
The chain hem..
My new love!
Thanks for reading about my new (old) purchase! What’s your current favorite purchase?

August 4, 2011 at 1:20 pmBeautiful! THis has oodles more personality than the "normal" ones out there, including the Burberry (which I love by the way). It's divine and I hope it will delight you for years.

August 4, 2011 at 1:53 pmThis trench is absolutely gorgeous! I haven't purchased much lately, but the Banana Republic skirt I picked up a couple months ago for $5 has definitely seen heavy rotation in my wardrobe lately thanks to the high temps!

August 4, 2011 at 2:11 pmThe trench is beautiful, seems to be in a perfect condition. You waited for so long and now it is totally yours. Can't wait to see your modeling pic.
I am so bad about taking care of my clothes (put dry clean and clothes that require hand wash in a washing machine) so I would hate to invest in expensive ones. Maybe one day when I am not lazy.

August 4, 2011 at 2:24 pmWhat a beautiful, stunning piece. You will certainly have that in your closet for many, many years. Isn't it a great feeling to obsess over something for seemingly, forever, and then finally OWN IT?! Ahh. So satisfying. Love it.♥

August 4, 2011 at 4:54 pmYou are so lucky to get a second chance.
There was an Abercrombie back-to-school outfit about 5 years ago with a blue plaid button down and maroon sweater vest… I wish that was my second chance purchase.
I love them buttons BTW!

August 5, 2011 at 10:02 pmWOW. Airplanes on the buttons? I'm sold!
I'm so jealous of this acquisition of yours.
My most recent favorite purchase is a pair of jean-Michael Cazabat cage sandals covered in chains and beads. I got them 60% and they look like a million bucks.
