After Prague, Mr. Feather and I headed to Paris. We were there for four days and luckily it was sunny for most of the time – Paris is so beautiful but always has such spotty weather. Here are some little details about our time in the City of Lights (and by the way, I have four posts about Paris! I am going to try to spread them out so you don’t get sick of them):
I never get tired of visiting the Eiffel Tower but I don’t go up anymore – it’s enough for me just to sit outside and have some food on the lawns.
Park Hyatt Vendome
We stayed at the Park Hyatt Vendome (my first time in this hotel) and I highly recommend it! Fantastic service, gorgeous and convenient location, and the hotel itself is beautiful. Every morning we had breakfast downstairs and indulged in not only the buffet, but some hot made to order food as well. Yum! The only annoying but slightly amusing detail was that Lady Gaga was also at the hotel at the same time – so there were always huge crowds outside waiting, day and night.
The crowds from inside
Trying to get back into the hotel…sigh
I love exploring Paris – it’s such a walking town. This man had four dogs and was playing with them, throwing balls into the Seine River. Adorable! I watched for a while..
Mr. Feather was on a funny mission to document all the fattest birds of Paris, haha! Here is one of the more well fed pigeons we saw – this one was feasting on large baguette piece!
Stopping for a drink of hot chocolate at Cafe Angelina.
Max Mara jacket, Anthropologie blouse, 7 denim, Tory Burch flats, Chanel bag
Staring at some random shops in the Place Vendome by our hotel…I didn’t go into any of the shops here, my wallet was too scared!
I spend much time shopping at all while in Europe – in fact we only shopped on one day. Next time I will show you some more details of our shopping day and what we bought! A little preview below:

June 23, 2011 at 12:45 pmIt looks like you had an amazing time. Paris is my favorite place on earth. I also have a soft spot for fat animals, so that pigeon brought a big ol' smile to my face this morning.

June 23, 2011 at 12:55 pmThis brigs back so many great memories…I stayed at Park Hyatt Vendome when I visited Paris in 2008! Since I was there for business…I did not get to do as much shopping as you did! Good for you! http://www.bravoeunrway.com

June 23, 2011 at 1:39 pmDid you manage to catch a glimpse of Lady Gaga since you guys were staying at the same hotel?
Not going to lie, I actually hate pigeons with a passion. Along with geese, they have got to be the most useless birds in the world. I wonder what cooked pigeon tastes like? Ha ha.
Looking forward to all of your posts on Paris! That picture of the hot chocolate is making me smack my lips …

June 24, 2011 at 1:39 amWow, these photos are gorgeous! I was in Paris about 10 years ago and these are totally making me want to go back. Also, your hotel looks insane — way better than the series of questionable hostels that I stayed in…

June 24, 2011 at 2:25 amOne of my favorite hotels in Paris, and home of some incredibly fluffy omelets! The "scent" of the hotel rubbed me the wrong way at first, but now it just reminds me of Paris. Glad you had a nice stay and that th Hermes and Chanel gods smiled upon you!

June 24, 2011 at 3:27 amThis is so exciting. I love it when people post about their travels and they have good quality photos. It makes me feel like I was there too.
Are macarons yummy? I see them a lot on blogs. But I've only seen them once here in the US. I was wondering if they're any good. To me, they look like soap bars O_o Let me know!

June 24, 2011 at 8:09 amAh, you're so lucky! I really want to go to paris and your blog post has only made me want to go more. I loved the way you described it as a 'walking town'. I'd love just to walk around it and find cute and quirky things like you did. It suck that Lady Gaga happened to be staying there at the same time, did you get a glimpse of her?
Thanking so much for your comment on my latest blog post. 🙂

But OMG at the dogs in the Seine. Isn't it less than ideal for swimming (even for canines)?

June 25, 2011 at 1:03 amI originally wanted a Fidji but found out that style has been discontinued. I ended up with the black/tan large St. Louis tote and did a wide purple stripe and narrow white stripe on the diagonal with my initials. I LOVE how the customization turned out – it makes the bag, IMO. I kind of want a bright color next – love the kelly green and orange.
